Preview walk planned on new trail system

Have you:

a. Never been on any of Bella Vista's trails?

b. Been unsure of accessing the trails because you don't know much about them?

c. Been intimidated by the thought that the trails are only for mountain bikers?

d. Been wondering what the new 11 Under trails are like?

If your answer is yes to any or all of the above, this walk is for you!

WHAT: Join Erin Rushing, director of NWA Trailblazers, on this guided walking preview of the new Bella Vista 11 Under trails. Come see for yourself what the hype is all about and get any questions answered directly by those who built the trails.

WHEN: 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2019

WHERE: Park at the large Kingsdale Complex parking lot between Kingsdale Pool and Papa Mike's restaurant. We will walk from there along the trail to where it meets Riordan Road and back.

The approximately 1.5-mile round-trip walk will be on dirt trails that can include some exposed roots and rocks in places and therefore are not appropriate for strollers or wheelchairs. The walk will be moderately strenuous due to some small hills of less than a 10% slope, but the pace will be kept at a level to encourage participation by those with all appropriate ability levels. The route will include views of bluffs, Sugar Creek and more.

Please wear appropriate footwear and bring insect repellent and water. Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash.

In the event of rain, this event will be rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 14.
