Blowing Springs Arboretum to open on Arbor Day celebration

March 18

BELLA VISTA -- Join the city of Bella Vista for a proclamation from Mayor Peter Christie in celebration of Arbor Day in Arkansas, followed by a tree planting ceremony, at 1 p.m. Monday, March 18.

The ceremony will be held at the 00-mile marker of the Back 40 Trails, which is located at the east end of Blowing Springs Park. Attendees can park at the pavilion and walk east on the paved path to the intersection of the Back 40 trails.

In addition to this event, the Bella Vista POA also invites you to the Blowing Springs Arboretum soft opening at the same time and place. This beautiful exploration area of the park is the designated gateway to grand trees and flora, which will be marked by tree tags and plant markers.

The first 50 attendees will receive a Blowing Springs logoed headband, compliments of the Bella Vista POA.

The POA thanks Carroll Electric for their help with the arboretum, with a special thanks also to Steuart Walton and the Walton Family Foundation for their generous support with a grant through the tree planting initiative in Benton County.
