Ribbon cutting planned for Razorback Greenway extension

Staff Reports

The city of Bella Vista, in conjunction with the city of Bentonville, BikeNWA and the NWA Trailblazers, will host a ribbon cutting for the extension of the Razorback Regional Greenway into Bella Vista starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 28.

Kids and adults may bring bikes to be decorated for a bike parade immediately following the ribbon cutting. Decorating begins at 8:30 and will be hosted by the Artist Retreat Center in Bella Vista. Materials will be available. Decorating is not required to participate in the parade.

The ribbon cutting event will be at the new Greenway terminus at Blowing Springs Trailhead. The parade route will follow the trail a short distance from there to the Cooper Elementary School parking lot. The parade will begin immediately following the ribbon cutting. After the parade, attendees can enjoy vendors and food trucks and participate in a no-drop group bike ride to the Bentonville Square and back, about 10 miles round trip, led by Erin Rushing, director of NWA Trailblazers.
