Bella Vista Baptist Church

Bella Vista Baptist Church will hold a Senior Adult Movie and Ice Cream Night inside Grace Hall at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24. The showing will be "I Can Only Imagine," starring J. Michael Finely, Madeline Carroll, Trace Adkins, Priscilla C. Shirer and Dennis Quaid. The song, "I Can Only Imagine," you know. The story you don't. "USA Today" calls it, "Both Beautiful and Emotionally Powerful."

Highland Christian (Disciples of Christ)

Pastor James "Skip" French will be guest speaker Sunday, Aug. 19.

Save The Date -- Back by popular demand, James Garrett and Friends, voted "Best Morning Show" in Branson for several years running, will bring the music of Glen Campbell to Highland Christian Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. St. Bernard Catholic Church

Bingo is held on the first and third Thursdays of the month. The next bingo will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in the parish hall. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The jackpot is up to $1,000.

Highlands Church (United Methodist)

The next 10-week program of Flex 'N Stretch starts Monday, Sept. 3, at Highlands Church. Meeting days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 7:30 a.m. in the Peter Classroom. The mission is to challenge, encourage and promote better health through physical exercise. You can attend any number of lessons, up to 30.

Flex 'N Stretch is a wellness program of activities which provides a higher quality of life through responsible movement that is pain-free and possible for all participants. This well-organized exercise program teaches all participants, including seniors, how to do the exercises easily and safely. Benefits include increased range of motion, coordination, strength, balance and agility, all of which improve the quality of life and lead to longer independent living. Highlands Church will host "Not Your Typical Car Show" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.Everyone is welcome to check out the vehicles on display and join in games and trivia. A lunch will be available with a $10 donation. This is a celebration of all things automotive. Village Bible Church

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 15. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers.

Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled "The Pursuit of Significance." This Sunday's sermon is titled "Found in Finishing Well," with a text of Hebrews 12.

To enjoy a different kind of book club, stop by The Women's Book Club's next meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in the church parlor. The difference in this club is that books which are chosen revolve around a theme instead of everyone reading the same book. August is reader's choice month.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

A startup session is planned for Grief Share at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16,before the 13 weekly sessions begin on Aug. 23. The seminar and support group is designed to help in the rebuilding of lives after the loss of a loved one. The popular Shepherd's Food Pantry has reduced its Friday hours from 10 a.m. to noon at 1990 Forest Hills Blvd. Donated items should be placed in a container in the church narthex.
