The ballots for the annual election of members to the Property Owners Association in Bella Vista were mailed to members last week.
There are nine candidates on the ballot -- Mary Sinkus, Pat Laury, David Whelchel, Louis "Lou" Wallman, Jerre Barron Jr., William "Rex" Butler, Jerold "Jerry" Hover, William "Bill" Barr and Mike Abb. You can learn more about each candidate by visiting the POA website at www.bellavistapoa.com/election.
Voters will be electing four board members -- the three candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to three-year terms and the fourth-place candidate will be elected to a one-year term to complete an unexpired term.
Members can either vote online by going to www.tieivote.com and using the username and password that was received in the mail and cast their votes, or they can use the paper ballots enclosed in the mailing.

Mail-in ballots must be received by TIE no later than May 11, 2018, and online ballots must be cast by 5 p.m. on May 15. The results of the election will be announced at the POA's annual meeting at 6 p.m. May 15 at Riordan Hall.
