s The Stella Senior Center will host a dance Friday evening, Nov 24. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dancing begins at 7 p.m. The band "Evelyn and The Outriders " will play. There is a $3 cover charge. s "Different Strokes/Different Folks" stroke and traumatic brain injury support group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista. The next meeting will be held 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 (there will be no meeting in December). s The 29th Annual Cookie Walk, sponsored by Highlands Church will take place Saturday, Dec. 2, at the church, 371 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the "walk" begins at 8:30 a.m. It will last until all cookies are gone. Also of interest is a Coffee Shoppe, Sweet Shoppe, and handmade crafts for holiday gift giving. The cost per can is $12 -- first come, first served -- and there are no preorders. All money raised will go to support local and regional charities. s The Veterans Council of NWA, the JM Band of NWA and the Bella Vista POA will host the "God Bless America Concert" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. The 17-piece Jack Mitchell Band of Northwest Arkansas is presenting a free two-hour patriotic concert in remembrance of 9/11 and the Dec. 7 attack on Pearl Harbor. Everyone is welcome to attend this free patriotic concert. Come early for seating, no tickets or reservations are required.

This completed course qualifies students to receive an automobile insurance discount in the State of Arkansas. Course length is four hours and reservations are required. The cost to AARP members is $15 (provide membership card and membership number). Nonmember cost is $20. Class location is at Village Insurance, 2860 Bella Vista Way, Bella Vista.
