Roy and Joyce Johnson will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Roy Johnson and Joyce Eleanor Weldon were married on Sunday, May 1, 1949, at the Methodist Church in Neosho, Mo., by the Rev. Lehew.
They have two sons, Doug (Melissa) Johnson of Mission, Kan., and Roger (Jill) Johnson of Overland Park, Kan., and a daughter, Kate Johnson Martin, of Wichita, Kan.
They also have four grandchildren: Jeremy and Chris Johnson, and Phillip and Erik Martin.
Both Roy and Joyce turned 90 this year but told their children that their 67th anniversary was more important and that should be what the family focused on.
