s A free 10-week walking clinic meets Mondays at Lake Bella Vista and Tuesdays at Loch Lomond Sports Park (dog park) on Glasgow Road. Both walks start at 9 a.m. Bella Vista volunteers will be leading the walks. Register online at www.womenrunarkansas.net or come 15 minutes early to register at a walk. April 20-21

s Starting at 8 a.m. April 20 and continuing through noon April 21, a trailer will be at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista for good, usable items for the Share & Care of Gravette. Receipts will be available for tax purposes. If you have items too large to transport, call 479-426-9543 to arrange for pick up at your home.

Friday, April 22

s The Spaghetti Fiesta will be held at Bella Vista Assembly of God. The two servings will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $7.50, children 5-12 are $3, and children 4 and under free. Tickets may be purchased from the church office Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or at any of the two banks at the intersection of Highways 340 and 279. The menu will include spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and beverage. There will also be a bake sale. All proceeds will be used for foreign and home mission projects. The church is located at 1771 Forest Hills Boulevard across from the Highlands Post Office. The public is welcome.

Saturday, April 23

s The Bella Vista Animal Shelter is hosting a fundraising event in Allen's parking lot, 60 Sugar Creek Center, Bella Vista, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come for brats, hot dogs, fixins and fun benefiting the Bella Vista Animal Shelter. Brat meals will be on sale for $4 and hot dog meals will be $3.

Thursday, April 28

s Perfect Harmony Women's Barbershop Chorus will present a Spring Concert: "Remember When!" The concert will be held at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel at 4 p.m. Director Karen Frankenfeld has chosen some songs that will make you say, "Remember When!" s The Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. For more information, call 479-750-8165 or visit shilohmuseum.org.

Saturday, May 28

s The 17-piece JM Band of Northwest Arkansas will play for a free Spring Swing and Salsa dance starting at 7 p.m. Riordan Hall. This is a fundraiser for CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates for children). There will be limited seating for 300. Admission is free, but dancers can make a donation to CASA during the dance. CASA is a nonprofit corporation. All donations are tax deductible and go to CASA of Northwest Arkansas, benefiting children in this area. Sponsors of this important event are Bella Vista Village POA, the JM Band of Northwest Arkansas, Thrivent Financial, and Chevron Humankind.
