The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association will host the "Tide's Turnin' Tailgate Party" Oct. 10 at Blowing Springs Park.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. and Dickey's BBQ will be served at 5 p.m., first come first served.
The event's main attraction will be the Arkansas Razorbacks versus the Alabama Crimson Tide football game which kicks off at 6 p.m., shown on a large projection screen. Other games will be shown prior to the main event.
Additionally, there will be a "Show Us How You Tailgate" contest, encouraging serious tailgaters to show event-goers what it really means to tailgate.
Tailgaters may have any team loyalty to participate. A winner will be announced during halftime of the Arkansas Razorback game.
The "Tide's Turnin' Tailgate Party" will be another event in the Association's year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary.
All fans from different alma maters and loyalties are welcome to attend. The tailgate party will also offer door prizes; children's activities and other special events include yard games for all ages and a caricature artist.
Those planning on attending the tailgate party are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
Sylvia Camacho-Green is heading up the Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association's 50th anniversary events.
She is anticipating another successful event. "I'm excited for this event! The weather will be cooler and it will be fun to see new people learning how to call those Hogs!"
