The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association is continuing its year-long series of special events celebrating its 50th anniversary with the Tanyard Creek Celebration
The celebration will showcase free live entertainment, a golf challenge, activities for kids and food.
Three Skill Challenge golf tournament will kick off the activities at 2 p.m. on May 30, at the Tanyard Creek Practice Center, 10 Nature Trail Lane. The tournament will pay special tribute to John Cooper Sr.
There is a $10 fee for the tournament. The deadline for registration was May 22. The challenge will test participant's skills in driving, chipping and putting. Competing age groups: Junior (16 and under), Adult (17-49), Senior (50-69) and Legend (70 and older).
The free live entertainment, which is from 4 to 8 p.m., will feature the bands -- Divas on Fire, 1 oz. Jig and Earl and Them.
"Tanyard Creek has just been beautifully restored and the Association is celebrating its 50th year, said Sylvia Camacho-Green, chairwoman of the events. "It's a great time to get together with your friends and family to see the creek restoration and enjoy a community celebration."
