Chamber launches new website

BENTONVILLE -- The Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce unveiled its new website at an event at 21c Museum Hotel on Thursday, March 19.

WhyteSpyder Marketing developed the website, and Vista Productions created videos telling the chamber's story and success stories of its members.

Using videos of members' stories is reaching out in a different way to the website's audience, Sam McDonald, event manager and video producer with Vista Productions, said at the event.

Connecting with emotions is key in today's marketing world, he added.

There are a lot of great stories in Bentonville and Bella Vista, which equals a lot of great marketing opportunities, McDonald said.

Eric Howerton, WhyteSpyder senior marketing consultant, walked attendees through the new website on a large screen.

The navigation links are cleaner, there's interactive calendars for community and chamber events as well as the business success stories.

The site is also responsive and more compatible on mobile devices, Howerton said.

"That's a very important enhancement we made," he said.

The chamber wants the website to serve as a statement to business leaders the chamber is there to support them, according to a news release.

"The Chamber has many stories to tell, both about our members and the communities we represent, and this new website is a venue we will use to tell those stories," Dana Davis, chamber CEO and president, said.

The new site was launched to the public on March 20.

It can be viewed at www.bbvchamber.com.
