Membership Drive
March is the membership drive to renew and issue memberships for Friends of the Library. All proceeds go to benefit the library. A membership is $10.
Coupon club of NWA
The Coupon Club of NWA is back at the Bella Vista Library. The Coupon Club will meet Wednesday, March 25, at 9:30 a.m. Join this group and learn how to be smart shoppers and save money!
Bella Vista Library Book Club
The Bella Vista Library Book Club will meet Wednesday, March 25, at 9:30 a.m. This lively group of readers always has a blast. March's book is Perfect Peace by Daniel Black.
Bella Vista Hearing Center
The Bella Vista Hearing Center will be hosting monthly seminars providing information on hearing loss and preventative measures. The meeting will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Refreshments will be provided.
Brainteasers
The library hosts this fun and challenging event on the third Wednesday of each month. The next meeting is from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 18. Brainteaser packets are available at the front desk.
Mystery Book Club
Fans of all types of mystery/crime/suspense novels are invited to join this exciting book club. The club meets at 4 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month (right after Brainteasers). The next meeting is Wednesday, March 18. This month, the club is reading books by Donna Andrews and Janet Evanovich.
Strength in self
The Strength in Self, a six-week program, is a chronic disease self-management program. It is a tried and tested program that can help develop skills and techniques to better cope with issues that people with chronic disease or conditions face on a daily basis. The program covers issues such as sleep habits, exercise and activity, healthy eating, positive thinking, pain and fatigue management, and decision making techniques. The next meeting is 2 p.m. March 26.
Bella Vista Bingo
Bingo at the library. Bingo starts at 2 p.m. on the second Monday and fourth Thursday. Seating is limited to 20 seats at each session. Sign-up sheets are at the front desk. There are no cash prizes. The next game will be March 26.
Teen Thursday night
Starting March 19, the library will begin having a teen night every third Thursday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. Come by the library on March 19 for the first event, which will be a sampler of things to expect -- games, improv and tasty snacks. Plus it's a great chance to tell the library what teens want to do. Teen night is for those ages 13-18.
Preschool Storytime
Preschoolers are invited to join this fun group for stories and crafts at 10 a.m. every Friday morning. Be sure to come to storytime this week to listen to a good story with Miss Heather.
Teen blog
The library has a new blog just for teens and is looking forward to expanding that department with new books and activities. To keep up-to-date with all the changes to the direction the teen department is going check out www.bvplteens.weebly.com.
E-reader training
Anyone who received an e-reader and is not quite sure how to get started may come by the Bella Vista Public Library for help. E-book training will be available every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Call the library at 479-855-1753 to schedule an appointment with Myrna, who will answer questions and teach about e-readers.
Knitters and Crocheters
Knitter and crocheter wannabes are invited to brush up on their skills and learn some new techniques from 1 to 3 p.m. every Tuesday. Novices will be guided by experienced knitters and crocheters. Participants may bring their current projects or start a new one. Attendees must bring their own supplies.
Check out a Kindle
Kindle Paperwhites and Kindle Fires are available for checkout to patrons in good standing. Each device is loaded with a specific genre of book (sci-fi, bestseller nonfiction, western, inspirational, etc.) and may be checked out for three weeks. New books are added to each device every month. See library staff members for the check-out agreement and procedure.

Encore Books!
The Friends of the Library's used book store is open six days a week during regular library hours. The store offers everyday low pricing on hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children's books, paperbacks, biographies, health and wellness topics and much more. All proceeds from this ongoing fundraiser support the library. New books are added almost daily.

Exhibits
March's exhibits include photography from the Bella Vista Photography Club. Janna Columbus has provided artworks for display. Ron and Sharon Roach's Nascar Collection is residing in the back cases. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact Rebecca at 479-855-1753.
Floral Arrangement
March's arrangements was designed and provided by Janice Kennedy. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed for patron's enjoyment.
Hours of operation
Regular library hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with late evening hours until 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
