Reopening of Horse Trail at PRNMP

The north portion of the Pea Ridge National Military Park's horse trail has been reopened, according to Superintendent, Kevin Eads, who made the announcement on July 21.

The popular trails offer horseback riders a unique way to see the park and get some exercise, he added.

Park staff asks that riders report any downed trees or excessively muddy areas to staff at the Visitor Center.

The Elkhorn Tavern and area north of the tavern, Telegraph Road, remain off limits to horses due to resource damage.
