'All in the Family' tee time changes

Based on the forecasted heat index, POA Golf Operations has adjusted the tee times for the "All in the Family" tournament on July 25-26.

The tournament will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on both Saturday and Sunday, with no afternoon play scheduled.

If these tee time changes will affect participation, please contact the Golf Division at 479-855-5077. Golf Operations is still accepting applications to play in the event. To register, stop by the Golf Division Office, located in the Bella Vista Country Club, 98 Clubhouse Drive, or click on All in the Family at www.bellavistapoa.com.

The tournament, which will take place on the Kingswood and Berksdale golf courses, is open to property owners and their guests. Teams must consist of at least two relatives. Each player must be 6 or older. However, husband and wife teams are not allowed.

Each day of play will consist of 18 holes of golf -- nine holes of modified scotch twosomes and nine holes of scrambles.

The entry fee is $80 per team, which includes lunch on Sunday and flight and closest-to-the-pin prizes. Green fees and carts are not included. Green fees are $29.50 for value card holders, $35.50 for members, $54.50 for guests, $18 for junior golfers and free for annual golf green fee card holders.

Meanwhile, golf carts are $26 a player (For holders of an AGGF or Value Card, carts are no extra charge). All fees must be prepaid.

Member-guest tourney set

Golfers will be "Swinging with Bling" when they play in the annual Bella Vista 9-Hole Women's member-guest tournament Monday, Aug. 31. The tournament will be played on the Berksdale Golf Course and is open to all women golfers as long as the team has at least one Bella Vista 9-Hole Golf Association member. The tournament is a 4-lady scramble and no handicap is required. Deadline for entry is Monday, Aug. 24, and there is a 36-team limit.

The entry fee of $40 includes a continental breakfast, lunch, golf, and a putt-a-gain. Golf carts, if needed, are $9. Players with an annual card will pay $28. Tee off is at 9 a.m.

Golf Seminars set

The Bella Vista Property Owners Association is offering beginner golf seminars. The instructional seminars for adults who are ready to enjoy all the benefits of golf. Seminars will be taught in four consecutive classes for a one-time fee of $30 with a limit of 20 participants a session.

All seminars are at Tanyard Creek Practice Center, 10 Nature Trail Lane, Bella Vista.

Seminar dates and times are as follows:

• Sept 2-23, 2015, 5:30-6:30 p.m. (Wednesday)

• Aug 1-22, 2015, 10-11 am (Saturday)

Registration forms are available online at bvvpoa.com as well as the Golf Division Office located at 98 Clubhouse Drive, Bella Vista. Registration form and payment should be submitted to the Golf Division Office.

Two-Person Open

The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association is introducing a new, one-day tournament in which all golfers may play at member rates.

The Two-Person Open, which will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Friday, Sept 25, at the Bella Vista Country Club Golf Course, is open to all members and guests. Guests will pay the member rate as part of the village's "Member for a Day" promotion. Golfers without a member sponsor may register as a guest of the association.

The tournament will be an 18-hole "best ball" event. Handicaps are not required. Flights will be determined upon completion of play.

Men will play from a combination of blue tees (No. 2) and white tees (No. 3). Women will play from the red tees (No. 4).

The entry fee is $50 per team, which includes prizes in the form of golf shop gift certificates, range balls at the Tanyard Creek Practice Center and lunch at Cafe Amici at the Bella Vista Country Club.

Green fees and cart rentals are not included. Green fees are $15 for value card holders, $19 for members with a POA-issued photo identification card, $19 for guests and free for annual golf green fee card holders. Meanwhile, golf carts are $15 a player.
