Free Speech

This is a free country. You can call a dog a cat if you want to but, that doesn't make it true.

When same sex couples decide to spend their lives together, they can call it a marriage, but that doesn't make it true. No matter how many others they get to agree with them, that still doesn't make it true.

It is obvious that many same sex couples do want to spend their lives together so they should have their own set of terminology and regulations. It might be called a "Civil Union" or some other term to distinguish it from marriage.

It also should have its own set of regulations as does marriage.

It should not be called marriage any more than a dog should not be called a cat. Both dogs and cats are well-loved pets and sometimes treated like family, but they are different. Dogs have masters and cats have staff.

The Supreme Court should take note.
