Homes tour set for Saturday

The 25th annual Highlands Homes Tour, sponsored by the Highlands Church, a United Methodist congregation, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19.

Proceeds from the homes tour are donated to faith-based organizations in northwest Arkansas as well as national and global missions.

This year's five homes are all in the Loch Lomond area -- 8 Coldstream Circle, 84 Stonehaven Drive, 35 Rath Drive, 99 Forfar Drive and 96 Kincardine Drive.

Parking at the home at 8 Coldstream Circle is limited and the tour committee is offering parking at Granton Park/Boat Ramp, off Evanton Road. Parking in this lot offers a choice of transportation to the home either by automobile or pontoon boat. There is limited handicapped parking available at the home.

The committee asks everyone to please keep this in mind during the touring of the homes, the committee said in a news release.

There will be three pontoon boats in service all day transporting visitors to the home and returning to the park.

Tickets, which costs $10 prior to the day of the tour and $12 on the tour day, are available at any of the Arvest Banks in Bella Vista, the Highlands Church or any church member.
