Residents of Lake Windsor are planning a Parade of Boats from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 27. The theme for the parade will be "All American."
This will be the first-ever parade of boats to take place on Lake Windsor. Parade organizers offer this fun, family-friendly, hot-fun-in-the-summertime event as an addition to other planned festivities surrounding the 100th anniversary of the Bella Vista resort and the 50th anniversary of Bella Vista Village, according to a press release. Additionally, it's the 40th anniversary of Lake Windsor, which was completed in 1975.
Registration is free. Participating boat owners must possess a current Bella Vista POA boat registration permit.
Boats of all types are welcome to join the parade. Boats must be registered with the organizing committee and decorated in an "All American" theme. Prizes will be awarded for best in class and other categories.
Boat owners are allowed to sponsor a local civic, church, business or nonprofit organization and allow them to decorate the boat. Boat owners whose boats are sponsored must approve the boat's decorations and captain the boat during the parade.
