New proposal
I had an opportunity to address the POA Board this morning (July 10) at its work session.
On my agenda and theirs was the next assessment proposal of $6 a month for improved lots and $2 a month for unimproved lots.
My position and opinion, which I voiced at the meeting, is that any assessment proposal needs to be on an equal percentage basis.
For the basis of this conversation, the proposed $6 increase for improved lots is a 25 percent increase. I don't have a problem with that number, but a fair and equal increase on unimproved lots, using the 25 percent basis, would be $4, not the proposed $2.
If you feel as strongly as I do about any assessment request being on an equal percentage basis, please come to the the POA Board meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, in the board room at the Country Club.
