Ruth Alice (Tande) Dronen

Ruth Alice (Tande) Dronen, 94, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville.

She was born April 12, 1926, in Scobey, Mont., to B.O. Tande and Marie (Swenson) Tande. She was raised in Scobey and Aneta, N.D. She graduated from the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks) in 1957. She married Maurice Carter Dronen June 11, 1950, in Aneta and once he graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., they moved to Ellendale, Minn., where he was pastor of First Lutheran Church until retirement in 1980. She earned her master's degree from Mankato State University and worked in occupational home economics. They moved to their retirement home in Bella Vista in 1990.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; parents; brother, Iver Tande; and sisters, Luella Lee Burros, Eunice Langhaug, Rachel Tande.

Survivors are one son, Christopher Dronen (Kathy Jursik) of Plymouth, Minn; daughter, Elyce Santerre (Phillip) of Chugiak, Alaska; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, and a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road in Bella Vista with Pastor Karen Fowler-Lindemulder officiating. Burial will be at Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Luther Seminary, 2481 Como Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108.

Glenna "Jo" Pruitt

Glenna "Jo" Pruitt, 86, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at her home in Bella Vista after an illness.

She was born July 15, 1934, to Jimmie D. and Arzola (Smothers) Burks in Comanche, Okla. She graduated from Antelope Valley High School in California. She married William Martin Styles Oct. 4, 1952, in Las Vegas. He passed in March of 1969. She later married Vernon Pruitt on Sept. 10, 1971, in Noel, Mo. He passed in March of 2009. She lived in the four-state area since 1962 and owned a Dress Shop, Styles Fashion, in Noel for many years. She was a member of the Elk River Baptist Church in Grove, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, Gene Pruitt; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors are three sons, Larry Styles (Debbie) of Bella Vista, Jim Styles (Kim) of Rogers, Ark., Audie Pruitt (Betty) of Jane, Mo.; a daughter, Cathy Pruitt of Nevada; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Pruitt; and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, in the Butler Creek Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Ark., with Pastor Ed Glasgow officiating.

Muriel J. Schoen

Muriel J. Schoen, 94, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Nov. 27, 2020.

She was born in Tracy, Minn., Nov. 21, 1926, to Milo and Nellie (Skjonsby) Foss. She spent many years as a dental office manager in Minnesota. She loved the outdoors, gardening, walking and golfing, particularly in her retirement years in Bella Vista, Ark. She also enjoyed playing cards and making quilts, many of which she donated to local shelters.

She is survived by her brother, Keith Foss (Jackie); daughter, Gail Lewis; sons, Jeffrey Arneson (Sue), Lee Arneson; and four grandchildren.

Interment at Bella Vista Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date.

Kimberly Rhea Weeks

Kimberly Rhea Weeks, 49, of Hiwasse, Ark., died Nov. 30, 2020, in Bentonville, Ark., at Northwest Medical Center from a blockage and other complications.

She was born in Topeka, Kan., Sept. 1, 1971, to Sharon Tommer. She was raised in Blue Rapids, Kan., by Melvin and Nelda Tommer. She graduated from Valley Heights Jr./Sr. high school. She and Glenn Weeks were married Dec. 25, 2008, in Bella Vista, Ark. She was a nurturer by nature as she was a LPN at Apple Creek Health and Rehab for the last three years and served others at different facilities throughout her career.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Melvin Tommer; and brother, John Zeliff.

Survivors are her spouse, Glenn Weeks; mother, Sharon Elnicki; sister, Roni Anderson; grandmother, Nelda Tommer; children, Jackie Zenger, John Scott Weeks, Samantha Cunningham, Glen Weeks, Brian Weeks, Paul Weeks, Montana Drennan; and 13 grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista. Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery in Blue Rapids, Kan., Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020.
