Reply to Mr. Parsons from Sept. 25 issue:
Mr. Parsons submitted the POA officers' salaries for our consideration in the assessment increase discussion. The figures submitted are, in, fact, the total compensation package, which is typically 30% of the base salary. If the math is done, Tom Judson's salary is just under $200,000.
In my opinion, for a position that has oversight of a $28 million dollar budget, he is a bit underpaid. The salaries of the employees are not relevant to the increase.
