Bee Johnson

As director of the Bella Vista Library from 2004-2010, I was privileged to know and love so many volunteers. Without them, our library could not run. One special volunteer retired from her post last week.

Every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, I looked forward to seeing Bee Johnson arrive to man the check-in post. Bee is very beautiful and always came in with color coordinated outfits that made the rest of us look drab.

She also had what must be the world's largest collection of Croc shoes. Aside from "the look," Bee was the ultimate professional volunteer, kind and patient with everyone.

Bee will be leaving Bella Vista, and she just might get involved with another library, and her time here may fade and become less important. However, there's one thing I know. Even if she forgets the Bella Vista Library, the library will not forget her. Thanks, Bee!
