Letter to the Editor: After the dust settles

I always look forward to reading about the POA activities. Who authorized same to set up a line of credit at a bank and what was used as collateral to guarantee repayment? Possibly future POA dues? Perhaps some land owned by the POA? We, the property owners are the POA and I do not remember giving anyone permission to borrow any funds.

ADEQ/EPA will be assessing fines once the dust settles on the "stump dump" fiasco. It would be a very good assumption that it will be in the range of multimillions of dollars for operating a publicized disposal area for POA members sans a permit to operate same. Lest we forget, the POA also opened "stump dump west" but quickly closed same when it figured out that was also being operated sans state/federal permits. EPA is our federal tax dollars and ADEQ is our state tax dollars. We the taxpayers, in one way or another, are going to pay for this fiasco.

At some point, the excessive salary of our fearless POA leader needs to be brought up for a vote by each and every POA member, along with any salaries paid for legal advice. We should not be in this financial quagmire any longer.
