2019 Rules Workshop -- USGA Rule Changes

The Bella Vista Women's Golf Club Rules Committee is hosting the "2019 Rules Workshop," beginning at 7:45 a.m. with a continental breakfast followed by the workshop at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Riordan Hall, located at 3 Riordan Drive in Bella Vista. Darryl Muldoon, director of golf operations, and his staff will review many of the changes to the USGA rules. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. All members and area women are invited to attend this informative workshop.

Women's 5-Hole Golf Meet 'n Greet

Women who are interested in a no handicap casual golf group are invited to a drop in at the Meet 'n Greet Coffee between 10 a.m. and noon Monday, March 18, at Riordan Hall.

The group plays on Monday mornings from April 1 through the end of October. Dues are only $12, and registration forms will be available on the website, at the Goff Expo on Tuesday, March 5, and at the Meet 'n Greet on Monday, March 18. Visit the group's website for more information.

Women's 9-Hole Golf Association

A fun-loving group, the Women's 9-Hole Golf Association, is about making friends, playing golf, and promises of warm weather and warm friendships. The typical season runs from April to September, with play on Monday mornings. The Spring Brunch will be held on Monday, March 25, at Riordan Hall. More details will follow. Women's 18-Hole Golf Club

Bella Vista Women's Golf Club is accepting new and returning members. The club promotes fun, friendship and golf. The motto is "Be Courteous, Be Kind, Be Kind to the Course." The season begins in April and runs through October, with play every Thursday morning. Membership applications are available on the website at www.bvwgc.com and in all Bella Vista pro shops.

Oldes 9-Hole Golf Group

The Oldes Golf Group in Bella Vista is seeking new members for the 2019 season, which runs from April to the end of October. This is a 9-Hole Group, with play on Tuesday mornings. All play is on Bella Vista courses, with 13 events at Kingswood/Berksdale. Play is from the Red Tees and a Texas Scramble every week. Men's 9-Hole Golf Association

The Men's 9 Hole Golf Association is currently accepting membership applications for the 2019 golf season. Play is on Wednesdays, with tee times, four handicapped flights and weekly sponsored prizes on all holes. The association also holds a spring and fall banquet. Applications are available in the pro shops and can be downloaded from the POA website as well as from www.sites.google.com/site/bv9mga/home. Men's 18-Hole Golf Association

The Men's Golf Association is accepting new members to join the 2019 Tuesday golf league. Current and new members can sign up on the website at www.bvmga.com for the 2019 season beginning in February. Additional information regarding the MGA is also available on this website. The MGA is open to both POA members and non-POA members. The men's league begins play on Tuesday, April 2, and ends Tuesday, Oct. 29.

About the MGA -- Opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and play fun, weekly, competitive golf (games change weekly); format is organized for golfers of all ages, abilities and handicaps; easy weekly online signup; play in the morning or afternoon, shotgun start at the Bella Vista course of the week; spring and fall banquet and players cup competition. The MGA, established in 1972, is the largest continuing golf group in Bella Vista and supports local charities. Bill Harris, membership board member, requests use of the membership signup option located on the website. Then forward a check in the amount of $70 to cover annual dues, payable to "MGA."
