Highlands Boulevard reopened for traffic last Thursday, and work continues on the trail tunnel under Cullen Hills Drive.

The city announced last week that a new waterline has been installed at the Cullen Hills Drive site and the contractors are waiting on test results from the Arkansas Department of Health.

According to the announcement, excavation work will be performed while workers wait on these test results and materials are being placed for the tunnel installation.

The city also announced that water crews will be working near the intersection of Forest Hills Boulevard and Camden Road for the next tunnel installation. Full road closures are not expected for that project, but lane closures are possible, according to the announcement.
