Bella Vista ranks among the safest cities in Arkansas, five other Northwest Arkansas cities in the top 10, according to a security website.
The website, Security Baron, which reviews and compares security products, has compiled rankings of the 50 safest cities in Arkansas.
The site assigned a safety score to each city based on FBI rankings of crime rates.
Bella Vista received a safety score of 86.16, the third-highest in the state.
The Benton County city has a rate of 2.51 violent crimes and 5.78 property crimes per 1,000 residents, according to the site.
The city also has a citizen-to-officer ratio of 1.04 per 1,000 citizens.
Greenbrier and Greenwood topped the list of safest cities with safety ratings of 89.35 and 88.53, respectively.
Centerton, Lowell, Farmington, Bentonville and Pea Ridge all ranked among the top 10 cities.
Fayetteville received the lowest safety rating, 54.07, of cities in Benton and Washington counties.
Little Rock, Osceola and Pine Bluff placed at the bottom of the site's list.
