Nov. 1

s The Bella Vista Recycling Center's hours change, effective Thursday, Nov. 1. The recycling center will be closed from 6 p.m. on Saturdays to 6 a.m. on Mondays. In addition, it will be closed on New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

s Tickets are on sale Nov. 1 for the Bella Vista Community Church English Tea to be held Saturday, Dec. 1. There are two times for the event, 1 and 3 p.m. There is a program held at 2 p.m.between each of the tea sittings. Tickets are $10. To reserve a seat, call the BVCC office at 479-855-1126.

Nov. 3

s St. Bernard Women's Club annual Holiday Bazaar, "Over the River and Thru the Woods," is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at St. Bernard Church on 1 St. Bernard Lane in Bella Vista, just off Ark. 340. There will be baked goods, centerpieces and table runners, handmade holiday crafts, hand painted items, farmhouse decor and boutique (new this year) trinkets, treasures and jewelry. A raffle of items to include a queen quilt will be held, as well as a 50/50 drawing. Breakfast and lunch items will be available. All proceeds benefit local charities.

Nov. 5

s The Kingsdale Squares will dance 6:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5,at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. Kenton Sullivan will be calling. For information, contact Bill Allen at 479-876-5066.

Nov. 10

s The POA Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Riordan Hall. There will be over 50 vendors and local crafters with their products on display. A chance to scoop up Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. Also available $3 cocktails.

Nov. 12

s The Kingsdale Squares will dance 6:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. Johny Eubanks will be calling. For information, contact Bill Allen at 479-876-5066. Please note, there will not be a dance on Monday, Nov. 19.

Nov. 14

s The Bella Vista Community Television Association will hold its Annual Meeting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the TV studio. The TV Studio is located in the Highlands Crossing building located at 1801 Forest Hills Blvd., Suite 203. All current members of the Association are welcome to attend.

Dec. 1

s The 30th Annual Cookie Walk at Highlands Church will be held from 8-11 a.m. (or until cookies run out) Saturday, Dec. 1. While waiting for your cookie walk number to be called, enjoy homemade cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, muffins and more. There will also be a Sweet Shoppe, Craft Shoppe and Soups-to-Go. When time for your walk, you will receive a container to fill with dozens of homemade cookies that will be wrapped in a drawstring bag after filled. Cost per can is $12.

Dec. 9

s The Veterans Wall of Honor Council will host a dinner and silent auction from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, to raise operating funds for the Veterans Wall of Honor. The event will be held at the Bella Vista American Legion located at Highway 71 and Kingsland Road in Bella Vista, Ark. There are numerous items for the silent auction and door prizes to be given away. The meal will consist of hamburgers, baked beans, chips and water or iced tea and available for a minimum $5 donation or two meals for an $8 donation. Anyone bringing an unwrapped toy for a needy child to be donated at Christmas time will receive an additional door prize ticket. This fundraiser is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend and support the Veterans Wall of Honor. s There will be a gathering of community voices on Dec. 9 to sing Handel's Christmas Messiah. Singers are wanted and welcome to join at 3 p.m. in the Bella Vista Community Church. There are no rehearsals scheduled; this is a one time sing-along opportunity. Choruses will include: "And the Glory of the Lord"; "O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings"; "For Unto Us a Child is Born"; "Glory to God"; and "Hallelujah." Dec. 16

s The Bella Vista Community Concert Band will present a "Christmas Concert" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Bella Vista Community Church located at 75 E. Lancashire Blvd. in Bella Vista. Eveyone is invited to attend.
