The Beast of Boggy Creek
Author and cryptozoologist Lyle Blackburn will be at the Bella Vista Public Library at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, to make a presentation about the Beast of Boggy Creek. The Boggy Creek Monster, or the Fouke Monster, has long dwelled around the southern Arkansas town of Fouke. The 1972 movie, "The Legend of Boggy Creek," cemented the creature in the public's consciousness. Blackburn has spent years researching the creature and has written two books on the subject, as well as doing a documentary, which is available to stream through Amazon Prime. Books will be available for purchase, and the author will be signing copies of his books.
