s The Woods Cemetery Association is holding a reunion for all family and friends of anyone buried in the Woods Cemetery in Little Flock. It will begin at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5-6, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 1101 W. Hudson Road in Rogers. s Republic Services will offer a fall appliance pickup free of charge to BV residents with accounts in good standing during the week of Monday, Oct. 8.Residents should call City Hall to sign up. Sign-ups will be accepted starting Monday, Sept. 24,through Friday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Items should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, regardless of individual pick up days. Depending on the number of participants, pickup could take a few days. Refrigerators or other items that use Freon will be accepted if the Freon has been professionally evacuated and tagged. s For the third year, Butter Braid pastries are being sold by the PEO Chapter BR. Proceeds of the sale will make a difference in women's lives through PEO's philanthropic projects that provide higher education assistance. The fruit or cream cheese-filled pastry loaves serve 10, are delivered frozen, thaw overnight and bake 20 minutes. Sales extend through mid-October and arrive locally the first week of November. Oct. 6

s The Bella Vista Garden Club will hold its annual Fall Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday, Oct. 6, in the parking lot of Allen's Food Market, located at 60 Sugar Creek Center. The club will also have Bella Vista daffodil bulbs for sale. The Bella Vista daffodil is an eye-catching flower with white petals and a broad reddish-orange cup. It grows to heights of 12-16 inches and blooms in mid-spring. Proceeds from the Fall Plant Sale are used to fund scholarships for students studying horticulture at area colleges and universities and are also used to support a variety of beautification projects around Bella Vista.

s United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. Homemade cinnamon and orange rolls and coffee will be available at 8:30 a.m.; and pulled pork sandwiches, hot chicken salad, stuffed baked potatoes and dessert will be available after 10:30 a.m. Orange and cinnamon rolls, in quantities of six or 12, may be pre-ordered by calling 479-855-1158. The Bazaar will host a variety of hand-crafted items, "dignified discards," plants, homemade jams, jellies, breads and desserts. All proceeds go to support local charities.

s The second annual Vintage Flea Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Blowing Springs Park. The vintage shopping craze will include live music, food trucks, a vintage car and RV show, and a kid's fun zone. Admission is free. F0r vendors who specialize in vintage furniture, junk, upcycled materials or are an artisan food vendor, spots are still available. 10-foot by 10-foot spaces are $50; 10-foot by 20-foot spaces are $90; and 20-foot by 20-foot spaces are $120. Oct. 19

The United Methodist Men of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Dr., will host the annual Fall Pancake Day Friday, Oct. 19, from 6-11:30 a.m. Tickets are $6 each and available from any member of the Methodist Men or at the church during business hours. They also will be offered for sale on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Allen's Foods in the Sugar Creek Shopping Center.

Oct. 25

s Bella Vista Historical Museum will host its annual open house Thursday, Oct. 25. The hours will be 4 to 7 p.m., with door prizes and refreshments to go along with the museum tour of 100-plus years of Bella Vista history.

Nov. 1

s The Bella Vista Recycling Center's hours change, effective Thursday, Nov. 1. The recycling center will be closed from 6 p.m. on Saturdays to 6 a.m. on Mondays. In addition, it will be closed on New Years Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
