Kiwanis Club

Bella Vista Kiwanis Club announces a special program for the June 7 meeting at 7 a.m. Duane Kees, U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, will speak about fraud and scams and how to identify them. Women's Connection

The Bella Vista Christian Women's Connection will meet from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 Lancashire Blvd. in Bella Vista. The featured speaker will be Erin Rowe of Silam Springs. The topic of Ozark Culinary History is based on her trial and errors as she cooked her way through "The Joy of Cooking," as well as material from her newly published book, Tradition from Corndodgers to Squirrel Meatloaf. Her journey took her to Maui Culinary Academy and authoring numerous magazine articles. Her book will be available for purchase after the brunch. The guest speaker, Dorothy Nigro of Bella Vista will present "Our Place At The Table." Nigro loves to cook, bake and entertain, with a specialty of authentic Italian cooking. Ozark Hill Hikers

All walkers are invited to enjoy a fairly flat 5K or sometimes hilly 10K paved walk in Fayetteville on Saturday, June 9, with the Ozark Hill Hikers, affiliated with the American Volkssport Association. Computer Club

The Bella Vista Computer Club monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, on the lower level of the Highlands Crossing Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista. This month's program will be "Emergency Preparedness and Trusts." It will cover basic steps to take in order to be ready for emergencies, how to preserve and provide for access to important records, how to be prepared with a will or trust, and how to provide key people access to your documentation. Garden Club

The Bella Vista Garden Club will host its 2018 garden party from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Simple Pleasures, 13718 Rothbury Drive in Bella Vista. This event is held in cooperation with the city of Bella Vista and the Bella Vista POA and will feature local artists, music, delicious appetizers, wine, raffles, a silent auction and much more. Fly Tyers Club

The Fly Tyers Club meets at 9 a.m. every Thursday at Riordan Hall for a social hour followed by meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. The club is a fishing, conservation and service organization with approximately 150 members. This group of men and women share a common interest in fishing for both warm- and cold-water species found in the local streams and lakes of Bella Vista. The club also promotes lake conservation, recreational activities and conducts service projects throughout northwest Arkansas.

Sunrise Rotary Club

Amateur Radio Club

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club holds its monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista. The program focuses on competitive radio operating and its benefits for public service and emergency communications. For anyone interested in acquiring an amateur radio license, the club also administers FCC exams at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Woodcarvers Club

The Bella Vista Woodcarvers Club invites new members. Member carvers hold varying levels of carving skills from beginner to master-skilled and are willing to teach at no cost. The club also offers classes from time to time. There are several women members who work with pyrography (wood burning) as well as carving, and one member works with chain-saw carving. The Woodcarvers Club teaches soap carving classes to young children in the area. The club meets at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista from 1 to 3 p.m. every Thursday. Bella Vista Strings

Bella Vista Strings is a casual acoustic jam group that meets at 1 p.m. every Friday at the Artist Retreat Center. Those who enjoy playing different styles of music are invited to visit and consider joining the BV Strings. The group plays rock, folk, bluegrass and country. The music is submitted by members. American Legion Riders

Motorcycles, patriotic veteran fellowship and the thrill of a ride are what keep The American Legion Riders riding. The American Legion Riders are associated with Bella Vista Post 341 and have monthly meetings on the third Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Bella Vista American Legion facility. If the weather allows, a ride follows and ends at a restaurant for a meal.

Village Writers and Poets Club

BV Decorative Artists Chapter

The Bella Vista Decorative Artists Chapter meets at 9 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month for a business meeting and painting session at Wishing Spring Studio (8862 West McNelly Road -- next to Walgreens). The purpose of the chapter is to stimulate interest and appreciation for the art of painting. BVDA does a variety of service projects. This year's projects include working with the Village House in Bella Vista and making memory boxes for local hospitals. Each month BVDA has a chapter member or a visiting national artist teach an art project in acrylics, oils, watercolor or mixed mediums. Painters of all skill levels make up the BVDA Chapter. Perfect Harmony Women's Barbershop Chorus

Perfect Harmony Women's Barbershop Chorus meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. every Monday in the choir room of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Chorus

Singing in harmony, a Cappella, is this group's enjoyment and is open to all men who like to sing. Vocal music experience is helpful. Women's Chorus

The Women's Chorus invites singers from the tri-county area to join the chorus. All are welcome, with no tryouts or experience needed.
