Bella Vista Community Church

BVCC Women's Bible Study, an eight-week series titled "Really Bad Girls of the Bible" by Liz Curtis Higgs, begins on Thursday, July 12. There are two time frames in which to attend: from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 6 to 8 p.m. in room 8-9. Cost is $16. Please call the church office to sign up, or sign up online at bvcc.net.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, July 11, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of our friendly volunteers.

Sunday, July 15, guest pastor Al Frank's sermon title will be "The Unstoppable Church," with a text of Matthew 16:13-18.

At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, a ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission Ministry will meet. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in this area as well as a hospital in Congo. All ladies from the community are welcome to attend and learn more about these ministries.

Highlands Church (United Methodist)

The next community blood drive will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Highlands Church at 371 Glasgow Road. This event is hosted by the Highlands United Methodist Men (HUMMERS). Please plan to eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the event. Receive a free cholesterol screening. Photo identification will be required. Help make a difference in your community by giving blood. Contact the church office for more information at 479-855-2277.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

This month's PCBV Sing-Along at Highlands Rehabilitation Center will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 13. All Bella Vista area community singers are welcome to join in lifting the spirits of the Highlands residents.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The choir of Bella Vista Lutheran Church has been invited to sing the National Anthem at the Naturals baseball game on July 13.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a request for canned vegetables, pinto or kidney beans, and large bars of hand soap. They are also collecting the "Best Choice" barcodes as they are able to cash them in for the purchase of items needed. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Sunday, July 15, Rev. Elise Cowan will preach a sermon entitled, "Loving Yourself."

Unity Church presents a comedy-concert with Greg Tamblyn at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26. Tickets are $15 each or 2 for $25. CDs, books and a humor blog are some of his methods of sharing anti-depression lyrics and songs. This event is open to all of the community.
