April 15

s Bella Vista Farmers Market opens for the season from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15. The market will be in a new location this year at 10 Sugar Creek Center in Bella Vista, in the parking lot just north of U.S. 71 and Mercy Way. The Bella Vista Farmers Market is one of few markets in the Northwest Arkansas area that operates on Sunday. The outdoor market promotes health and wellness to the community while supporting local farmers, crafters and small businesses.

s Anderson High School Alumni is hosting a reunion Saturday, May 19, at the River Ranch Resort located at 101 River Road in Noel, Mo. Registration forms were mailed inside the newsletter. Times for the reunion are noon to 5 p.m., Meet and Greet; 5 to 6 p.m., business meeting; 6 to 7 p.m., dinner; 7 to 9 p.m., dance with Max Brown. s The Fly Tyers are hosting a sportings goods sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. Monies raised from the sale will be used for improvements to the lakes within Bella Vista.

April 22

s Village Lake Writers & Poets, "Author Talk and Book Signing" from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at the Artist Retreat Center in Bella Vista and featuring Zeek Taylor, National and Regional Artist from Eureka Springs, Ark.

April 26

s Village House Adult Day Program will host a "Spring Senior Expo 2018" from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. The event theme is "Rock Around the Clock of Aging," and will be a 50s diner-style theme. Attendees are encouraged to participate by wearing 50s attire. Free health services and free lunch will be provided during the expo, as well as an abundance of helpful information from local senior service providers. Limited vendor booths are available. s Duets in Bloom -- when Art becomes Nature and Nature becomes Art. View unique floral designs interpreting works of art by local artists, opening at noon through 3 p.m. Thursday, April 26, and Friday, April 27, in the newly remodeled Bella Vista Country Club, 98 Club House Drive, Bella Vista. Admission is free and all sales benefit community education projects by Floralia Arranger's Guild Garden Club. s The city of Bella Vista is sponsoring a city-wide garage sale Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28, with a rain date scheduled for Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5. The city will partner with Bella Vista Neighbors, which runs a neighborhood program and website, to provide an online map of garage sales to help shoppers locate sales. May 5

s Highlands Flea Market will be Saturday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to noon. This annual event is held at Highlands Church and is hosted by the United Methodist Women. All proceeds are donated to local women's and children's charities. Items for sale will include household items, linens, collectibles, jewelry, furniture, books, lawn and garden, coffee shop and bakery. Those wishing to sell their own items for profit may make a reservation for an outside space by calling 479-855-2277.
