Good Sams campers back from Gulf Shores

Members of the Bella Vista Good Sam Chapter just returned from a 10-day trip to Gulf Shores, Ala., with good sun tans and a new appreciation of sunny days and warm ocean breezes.

On the way, they stopped at Little Rock for three days to celebrate Little Rock's "River Fest" and to enjoy some local sights. Everyone enjoyed listening to the music of the many bands that played during the celebration as well as the beautiful scenery of Little Rock's lighted bridges and fireworks show.

The group then ventured to Vicksburg, Miss., to take in the local sights before going on to Gulf Shores. A few of the activities they enjoyed there were visits to the Pensacola Navel Air Museum, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, and a sunset gulf cruise aboard a 53-foot open-ocean catamaran named "Wild Hearts." Excellent, fresh seafood dinners were also enjoyed by all.

The Chapter for Good Sam members in Bella Vista is open to anyone that has any type of recreational vehicle -- including motor homes, fifth-wheelers, Class B and C units, tent trailers, and regular trailers -- and is interested in great fellowship and exciting travels. Most trips are usually three-day outings to areas within a short day's drive, but each year a longer trip -- like this year's trip to Gulf Shores -- may also take place.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Bella Vista Good Sam Chapter should call the president Gary Reynolds at 479-855-7715 or Chapter trip planner Don Cowell at 479-876-1799.
