Letter to the Editor

Top 10 reasons

to vote Yes on plan

Top 10 reasons to vote "yes" (for the Property Owners Association assessment plan):

10. We won't have to sit through any more "Talk with the Board" forums, or feel slightly guilty that we didn't bother to go.

9. Keeping Bella Vista in good shape will enhance the value of our homes.

8. Upgrading and marketing Bella Vista will enhance the value of our unimproved lots.

7. Maintaining and improving our amenities will enhance our lives each time we use them, just drive past them, or invite friends and family to share our enjoyment in being here.

6. At $13 a month, it's the best return on investment we can make for our home and our life.

5. For $1 a month, our unimproved lots can become a sound investment again.

4. Letters to the editor can go back to complaining about what's going on in Washington instead of what's going on in Bella Vista.

3. It's like going to the dentist. We know it's overdue. We know it's the right thing to do. We know the longer we put it off, the worse it will be. Just do it and move on.

2. We can get our clubs and restaurants buzzing again, get some new ones going, and save time and gas money driving to Bentonville or Rogers.

And the No. 1 reason to vote "yes":

1. Make sure Bella Vista continues to make everybody's top-10 lists of the best place to live, retire, play and be generally known for where the smart, fun, happy people hang out.

Eleven other couples originally signed this, and the list is growing.
