The Mercy clinic in Bella Vista is open.

The Shewmaker Center at 1 Mercy Way, formerly Dartmoor Road, officially opened its doors to patients Monday, Dec. 9.

Winter weather caused a few delays, including the opening of Callaghan's Cafe and the new location of Cornerstone Pharmacy, clinic administrative assistant Rhonda Dixon said. Even some of the clinic's office supplies hadn't arrived by opening day, as they were stuck on a truck delayed by weather.

Patients have already been scheduled to see their health care providers who have moved to the new location.

On Monday, the patient load was lightened a little due to slick roads, but should have picked up as the weather retreated, Dixon said.

The Mercy Primary Care Clinic and the Mercy Heart and Vascular Center at 2790 Bella Vista Way have both moved to the new location and those two locations are no longer in operation. The location on Lancashire Boulevard, however, that houses internal medicine remains open.

A grand opening ceremony is set for 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 12. The ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for 5 p.m. that day. The public is welcome to attend.
