This means that those 70,000 people have to choose between eating or paying a bill every single day. Donations made to the NWA Food Bank are stored, sorted and then provided to people in need at food pantries, soup kitchens, youth programs, senior centers, schools and emergency shelters. Ninety-five percent of the NWA Food Bank's budget is spent on purchasing and distributing food to the hungry throughout the immediate area. Currently, they provide food for over 160 food pantries and kitchens in Northwest Arkansas.
