The Back 40 Fall for All trail festival planned

Celebrate all things trails with us.

BELLA VISTA -- Join in celebrating all things trails during the annual Back 40 Fall for All trail festival.

The City of Bella Vista will host this event at Blowing Springs Park, starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The park is located at 700 Blowing Spring Road and can be accessed off Mercy Way from U.S. 71.

Local retailers, community groups, cycling advocacy groups, churches and more have come together with the city to plan this community event, and residents of all ages are invited.

If you use Bella Vista's trails regularly or have never stepped foot on any of them, this is your chance to gather with your community to share your love of the trails or get to know more about what you have in your own backyard.

The event will kick off with a no-drop group trail run hosted by Rush Running Co. and will continue through the day with guided bike rides for all abilities, kids' bike rides, multiple informational guided hikes, food trucks, vendors and more.

Guided rides will be led by the Bella Vista Bike Club, Mojo Cycling, Ozark Off-Road Cyclists and Lewis and Clark. The kids' ride will be led by Friends of Arkansas Singletrack (FAST).

Three guided hikes will also be offered, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and will be led by the Arkansas master naturalists. Come, learn about things living and growing near the trails, such as trees, bugs, birds and more.

The FAST Mountain Bike Patrol and Bella Vista Police Department Bike Patrol will be out keeping an eye on everyone using the trails, and the Bella Vista Fire Department plans to show up with a truck or two.

Follow the Back 40 Trails Facebook page (www.facebook.com/back40trails) for more details to come on the event, such as times and locations for each group ride, run or hike.
