Letter to Editor

Recent letters to The Weekly Vista concerning the POA Board and COO Tom Judson imply that these vocal members represent the viewpoint of the majority of POA members. In discussions we have had with neighbors and friends in Bella Vista, we have found that the vast majority of members don't have the time to write letters or attend board meetings to express their positive opinions. They are too busy enjoying the golf courses and lakes, attending fitness classes and exercising at the recreation centers, playing tennis and pickle-ball, playing cards and games, hiking and biking on the trails, dining at the newly remodeled POA restaurants, volunteering at churches, serving on committees and boards of local charitable and civic organizations, participating in city government and otherwise taking advantage of and enjoying everything the POA and the Bella Vista community has to offer.

Residents of Bella Vista stay busy and are very generous with their time and energy in support of the many organizations that make this a very attractive, active community. There are so many opportunities here in Bella Vista and Northwest Arkansas to participate in a wide range of recreational, cultural, charitable and culinary activities -- much more so than most other communities across the country of a comparable size. It is a shame that those individuals who remain focused on being negative about our community seem to be missing out on enjoying all of the wonderful amenities available in our Bella Vista community. We are so glad that we moved here 12 years ago and are able to benefit from all of the improvements and progress made by the POA.
