Very pleased resident

As a resident of Bella Vista since 2010, I would like to say that I am very pleased with the work of the POA and city council. They have worked very hard to keep our city beautiful and well-maintained. Tom Judson and staff show a high degree of professionalism that makes me proud and hopeful for the future of our city.

My father built Anderson's Cajuns Wharf and Shorty Smalls restaurants in Arkansas, and I know the cost of trying to run an independent restaurant. It behooves us to keep these facilities under our management instead of a lessee as the cost of competing with big corporate restaurant chains is too much.

As a property owner, I am very glad that we have these fine high-quality facilities to which we can take guests and visitors. Also, I'm in favor of keeping our lakes for POA members and guests only. Concerning golf fees and what BV golf guests pay versus what a property owner pays, I understand Tom Judson's view that we have to keep golf fees in line with other courses and we need the guest income.

I pay my monthly dues too even though I don't golf; but, I do use the lakes, trails, fitness center, etc. So we all pay our monthly dues just to maintain all of our facilities whether we use them or not. I am certainly for an increase in our monthly dues when that vote occurs.

Let's watch the number of young families and the number of children in our town over the next few years to determine when would be an appropriate time for a new community center.

Keep up the great work POA and Mayor Christie, and a heartfelt thanks to those of you that volunteer!
