s A blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Highlands United Methodist Church, located at 371 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista. To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a valid photo ID.

s Sporting Arkansas is holding tryouts for the fall 2018-2019 soccer season at the Sugar Creek soccer complex in Bella Vista on May 22, 24 and 30. All wishing to try out for competitive youth soccer, U19 and below, are asked to register first at www.sportingarkansas.com. For more information on programs, refer to Programs and Teams section of the website. Most games will be played in Bella Vista at the complex.

s Bella Vista Garden Club's 2018 garden party will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Simple Pleasures, 13718 Rothbury Drive in Bella Vista. Held in cooperation with the city of Bella Vista and the Bella Vista POA, the event will feature local artists, music, delicious appetizers, wine, raffles, a silent auction and much more. Tickets may be purchased for $15 at POA Member Services, Bella Vista Arvest Bank locations, Audrey's Resale Boutique and from Garden Club members. s On Saturday, June 30, there will be an opportunity for new residents to attend a meet and greet coffee at the Bella Vista Country Club from 9 to 11 a.m. New homeowners and renters in the past 6-9 months are invited. This will be an opportunity to introduce yourselves, meet other new residents of Bella Vista and learn about the amenities.
