s The Bella Vista Animal Shelter will hold a Charity Garage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, Wednesday through Saturday, May 16-19. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the shelter.

s The Institute of Music, Worship and the Arts (IMWA) in Bella Vista is hosting a benefit concert and tea at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 17. The benefit includes an elegant candlelight dinner with music and a special concert performance. Tickets are $20 each or four for $15. Bella Vista will be holding a local blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Highlands United Methodist Church located at 371 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista. To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, and present a valid photo ID.

s USAF Band of Mid-America's seven-piece band, the Starlifters, will present a free concert at the Outdoor Wall of Honor at 7 p.m. Monday, May 28, Memorial Day. The presentation is in partnership with the Veterans Council of NWA. Starlifter celebrates America's love for rock, country and popular music in telling the Air Force story. s Bella Vista Garden Club's 2018 garden party will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Simple Pleasures, 13718 Rothbury Drive in Bella Vista. Held in cooperation with the city of Bella Vista and the Bella Vista POA, the event will feature local artists, music, delicious appetizers, wine, raffles, a silent auction and much more.
