Native American History

The Museum of Native American History will be at the library at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21 for the Children's Summer Reading Program to share information and examples of Native American Music.

80's Trivia

How well do you know the artists and songs of the 1980s? Now's your chance to put your knowledge to the test at the Library's 80's Music Trivia with five different categories all about the totally tubular hits of 1980s. This trivia contest begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 21.

Teen Nights

Teen Night Friday, June 22, is Karaoke Night. Join us at 5:30 p.m. as we ham it up with ridiculous songs and lots of fun. Ages 12-17 only.

Teen Night Friday, June 29, is movie night. Join us at 5:30 p.m. for tasty popcorn, cold drinks and a rockin' movie. Ages 12-17 only.

Speaker Series -- Civil War Music

The Summer Adult Speaker Series continues with a presentation from Park Interpreter Serena Evans from Pea Ridge Military Park on the music of the Civil War era. From the songs of the day to the battle plans relayed through musical instruments, music played a big role in the Civil War. The program begins at 6 p.m. Monday, June 25.

Cinderella by Opera In The Ozarks

Opera in the Ozarks will be at the Bella Vista Public Library at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, to perform one of their amazing shows. This year's performance is Cinderella. Seating may be limited.

A School for George

The George Washington Carver National Monument will be at the library at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, for the Children's Summer Reading Program. They will showcase what school was like when George Washington Carver was a boy.

Regular library hours are 9 a.m to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with weekend hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Bella Vista Public Library is located just east of Town Center off Lancashire Boulevard (Ark. Hwy. 340 East) at 11 Dickens Place. Rocket Languages

Rocket Languages are available through the library website. This language learning service offers online courses for 15 different languages. All you need is a library card to access it.

Freegal Music

The library has Freegal Music available through the library website. This allows patrons to listen to and download music for free! Patrons can download and keep up to three songs a week using their library card.

Encore Books

The Friends of the Library's used-book store is open six days a week during regular library hours. Everyday low pricing on hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children's books, paperbacks, biographies, health and wellness topics, and much, much more! All proceeds of this ongoing fundraiser support the library.

Exhibits

June's displays provided by Margaret Washburn, Ted Fields, and Alice Tidwell. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact the library at 479-855-1753.

Floral arrangement

June's floral arrangement was designed and provided by Mary O'Brien of the Bella Vista Garden Club. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed.

Kindle check out

Kindle Paperwhites and Kindle Fires are available for checkout to patrons in good standing. Each device is loaded with several books and may be checked out for three weeks. New books are added to each device every month. See library staff for the check-out agreement and procedure.
