Ronald Leroy Herron

Ronald Leroy Herron, 76, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

He was born Feb. 21, 1942. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran.

A service was held Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel and a reception followed.

Robert Neer

Harry Robert Neer, 91, died at his home Friday, June 1,2018.

He was born Jan. 4,1927, to Harry Garfield Neer and Margaret Denly Neer in Milwaukee, Wis. He grew up in Kansas and lived more than 40 years in Indiana before moving to Arkansas in 2000. He was a mechanical engineer and held a life membership in Winnemac, Ind., Masonic Lodge and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of St. Theodore's Episcopal Church in Bella Vista.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one grandson.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Harriett Wintle Neer; three daughters from his first marriage to Jeanne Galbreath, Jeanine Braaten, Paula Cox and Peggy Shortridge; one stepdaughter, Maribeth Caldwell; two stepsons, Curt Caldwell and Chris Caldwell; and 12 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at St. Theodore's with Father Will Lowrey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Theodore Episcopal Church or Legacy Circle of Life Hospice.

Thomas Willard Merritt

Thomas Willard Merritt, 82, died June 4, 2018.

He was born July 18, 1935. He graduated from high school in May 1953 and married his first wife, Janet, the following day. His goal in life was to be a minister and he attended Grace College in Winona, Ind. He taught junior high school for two years after college and pastored his first church in Kinderhook, Mich., for 10 years. He spent many years as a pastor in various churches in Michigan and Indiana. He married Patty Jo Wright (Bratton) in 2002.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Patty; two sons, Keith and Don Merritt; twin daughters, Darlene and Debbie; brother, Jack; two sisters, Betty Greer and Pat Hawley; and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Bella Vista Church of the Nazarene in Bella Vista, Ark.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bella Vista Church of the Nazarene located at 760 W. Lancashire Blvd. in Bella Vista.
