In the Wednesday, June 6, article "Shrum retires from PD after 35 years," it was erroneously stated that, in the 1980s, the POA ran all of Bella Vista's emergency service. Fire chief Steve Sims clarified that the ambulance service was never handled by the POA and, at that point in time, was operated by nonprofit organization Bella Vista Ambulance Service Inc.
