Betty June Schulenburg Hibdon

Betty June Schulenburg Hibdon, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark, died May 26, 2018, at the Circle of Life Legacy Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.

She was born Oct. 11, 1927, to Dr. Harold and Elizabeth Schulenburg in Los Angeles, Calif. She graduated from Modesto High School in 1945. She married Milton Leon Hibdon on Aug. 14, 1946. They lived in Modesto; Oahu, Hawaii; Montreal, Canada; and New York. After Milt's death in 1989, she and long-time friend Edward Pakstis traveled by RV across the U.S. looking for a place to retire and found Bella Vista. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and caring for her animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Milton Leon Hibdon.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Hibdon (Joni) and Robert Hibdon; and four grandchildren.

She has been interred in the Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2520 S.E. 14th St., Bentonville, AR 72712. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held immediately following the service at the church.

Cleova J. Hunt

Cleova J. (Vasen) Hunt, 95, died Sunday, May 27, 2018.

She was born Dec. 28, 1922.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clifford; and her daughter, Maria Jean (Randy) Reinking.

Survivors include two daughters, Michele Barnes and Jodi (Henry) Maddocks; son, James (Cynthia) Hunt; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A private family ceremony will be held in Bella Vista, Ark.

Sandra Lynne Manire

Sandra "Sandi" Lynne Manire, 69, of Bentonville, Ark., and formerly of Bellwood, Ill., died Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Rogers, Ark.

She was born on July 30, 1948, in Melrose Park, Ill., to Wilbur Manire and Patricia (Price) Manire. She graduated from Proviso West High School. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Warren Manire of Alabama; and a sister, Pat Davis of Arkansas.

Survivors include her brother, Denny Manire and wife Cindy of Florida; sister-in-law, Wanda Manire of Alabama; and brother-in-law, Lee Davis of Illinois.

A private memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Bella Vista Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark.

Donations may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church in lieu of flowers.

Albert Curtis McClain

Albert "Al" Curtis McClain, 95, of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 26, 2018.

He was born Feb. 21, 1923, to Abby and Audie McClain and raised in Fort Scott, Kan., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. He married Maxine Evelyn Milroy Dec. 21, 1947. His career was spent with ExxonMobil traveling the world until they retired in Bella Vista. He enjoyed golf, bridge, boating, church, singing, gardening and philanthropic activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathryn Ann; sisters, Laura (Hy) and Lucille; and brothers, James and Charles.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Maxine; a son, Alan (Anne); a daughter, Mary; and brother, William.

A memorial service was held June 2, 2018, at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista. Military honors were provided by the U.S. Army and the Rogers VFW Post 3031.
