The Veterans' Council of Northwest Arkansas, the group that oversees and maintains the Veterans Wall of Honor, is looking for some friends ... at least 100, to be exact.

If you have ever wondered how you could become a part of this incredible memorial to our men and women in uniform, past and present, then this might be it.

The Council is looking to establish a cadre of volunteers to be called "The Friends of The Wall of Honor."

The duties and responsibilities will vary with the needs of the Council but will definitely include cleanup at the site following any flooding of Lake Bella Vista that impacts the memorial and help in raising funds to maintain and grow the venue.

If you are interested in this venture, send your name, phone number and any area of expertise to [email protected]. Please put "Friends" in the subject line. In return, you will receive one of 100 bumper stickers made specifically for this program.

You need not have any specific skills, nor do you need to be a veteran or a relative of a veteran. All you need is a desire to help.

Information about the Wall of Honor can be found at vetwallofhonor.org.
