s Happy hour will be all day long at Bella Vista Bar and Grill, with specials in the dining room to include gazpacho soup, pepper steak, tilapia Americana, and apple crisp with ice cream.

s The Bella Vista Community Concert Band will have a free concert at Blowing Springs Park from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy great music in the park. Future concerts in the park will be held at 7 p.m. on July 17, July 31, Aug. 14 and Sept. 3.

July 6

s Coin Show at the John Q. Hammons Center sponsored by the Northwest Arkansas Coin Club will be held Friday, July 6. Admission is free and there will be many displays of U.S. and world coins. July 23 & 24

s The POA will hold public meetings on a study of a proposed community center. This study was completed by architectural firm Hastings and Chivetta, which specializes in large community centers, along with the POA. There will be two meetings which the public is encouraged to attend, both at Riordan Hall. The first will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 23; the second will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 24.

July 26

s Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together over coffee to discuss issues and learn more about one another. Village Baptist Church, 380 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista, is the site for the next visit, from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26.

Aug. 4

s The annual rummage sale at First United Methodist Church will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 20 Boyce Drive in Bella Vista. Food and beverages will be available. All proceeds benefit local charities. For more information, call 479-855-1158.

Aug. 7

s National Night Out with the Bella Vista Police Department provides a chance for the community to get to know BV law enforcement and they to know you. Free food, games and more for the whole family are planned. This event takes place between 5 and 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Riordan Hall, 2 Riordan Road in Bella Vista.

Aug. 11

s Bella Vista Business Association will host its first Business Bazaar, which is open to all Bella Vista Business Association Members to sell and promote their businesses. The Bazaar will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, and will be held at Riordan Hall. Aug. 25

s Bella Vista Decorative Artists are holding a Mad Hatter Card and Game Party from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church located at 1 Street Bernard Lane in Bella Vista. There will be an art decor store, door prizes and basket raffles. A table minimum of four players is needed and all cards and games are welcome. Proceeds from the event will be used to support service projects and art enhancements of northwest Arkansas. The cost is $12 per person and includes lunch. All cards and games are welcome. Sept. 11

Chaplin Jim Beckwith will discuss the pressures and dangers facing law enforcement today, and Chief James Graves will be available to answer any questions. Village House of Bella Vista is the site for this visit, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
