The recent POA fiasco at Scottsdale Golf course has gotten very little attention from the membership and has aroused my curiosity. Closing the course for the summer has cost us a tremendous amount of revenue, plus the labor and material costs for the re-seeding has to be substantial.

Is the responsible manager still employed by the POA? One of my fellow golfers told me that he went back to his previous job as a rocket scientist. It is obvious that he knew nothing about golf, grass or Arkansas weather.

I yearn for the old days when Scottsdale was playable most days of the year, no matter what the temperature was. Incidentally, there are not many folks at the new snack bar this summer.
