Emergency workers responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Hayden Road in Pea Ridge Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Pea Ridge police Capt. Chris Olson said the Impala rolled over with three people inside, identified as Rogers residents Steve Newell, 30, Stephanie Swindell, 35, and Phillip Kendall, 27.

Newall and Kendall were flown by helicopters and Swindell was taken by ambulance, he said, though Swindell was released shortly afterward.

Newell has also been released, he said, but no information is currently available regarding the condition of Kendall, who was taken to a hospital in Little Rock.

The Benton County Sherriff's Office sent an accident reconstructionist team, he said, because at the time Kendall's injuries were believed to be fatal.

Newell was driving, he said, Swindell was in the passenger seat and Kendall was in the back seat.

The accident is still under investigation, Olson said, and further details are not currently available.

Pea Ridge police, fire and EMS services responded to the single-vehicle accident, along with the Benton County Sherriff's Office and the Bella Vista Fire Department.
