Brainteasers

Every third Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m., this group of puzzle-solvers get together to go over the answers to the month's new packet filled with mind-boggling, thought-provoking puzzles and games designed to keep the brain working and solving problems. Patrons may pick up the packet at the front desk and get to work on January's packet in time for the Jan. 17 meeting.

Teen Night

Teens, 11-17, are invited are invited to beat the winter blues with a fiesta at the library offering salsa and piñatas from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19. Chef Erin Rowe will lead everyone in easy salsa recipes anyone can make.

FREEGAL Music

The library has Freegal Music. This service, available through the library website, allows patrons to listen to and download music for free. The service may be accessed with a library card.

Rocket Languages

Rocket Languages are offered through the Library website. This language-learning service offers online courses for 15 different languages. A library card is all that is needed to access it.

Check out a Kindle

Kindle Paperwhites and Kindle Fires are available for checkout to patrons in good standing. Each device is loaded with several books and may be checked out for three weeks. New books are added to each device every month. See library staff for the check-out agreement and procedure.

Encore Books

The Friends of the Library's used-book store is open six days a week during regular library hours, offering, at everyday low pricing, hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children's books, paperbacks, biographies, health and wellness topics and much more. All proceeds from this ongoing fundraiser support the library. New books are added almost daily.

Exhibits

January's displays are provided by Don Duncan and Susan Coley. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact Rebecca at 479-855-1753.

Floral Arrangement

January's floral arrangement was designed and provided by the Bella Vista Garden Club. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed for patron enjoyment.

Hours of Operation

Regular library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Bella Vista Public Library is located just east of Town Center off Lancashire Blvd. (turn at the Bella Vista Baptist Church) at 11 Dickens Place.
