BV Garden Club

The Bella Vista Garden Club will meet at 11 a.m. for lunch on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Bella Vista Community Church located at 75 E. Lancashire Blvd. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. and features Gerri Hoerner, "Digging and Potting Plants Successfully." Calico Cut-Ups

Calico Cut-Ups is a quilt guild of Bella Vista and meets at 1 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. The next guild meeting is at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Dr. in Bella Vista. All levels of quilting experience are welcome.

Dianne Gianninit is the scheduled speaker and will present Genealogy Quilts. Dianne learned to quilt by watching Alex Anderson on HGTV around 2002 and has been quilting ever since. She is a professional genealogist and the only board-certified genealogist in the state of Arkansas. Her day job is genealogy research for others through her company, Ancestry Sleuths. She and several other genealogists incorporated their love for genealogy and quilting to create the Star Spangled Banner Quilt as a fundraiser to digitize the War of 1812 Pensions. Dianne won the quilt in a raffle and will share information about the Genealogy Quilters group.

Sunrise Rotary Club

The Bella Vista Sunrise Rotary Club has a breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. every Wednesday in the Concordia Main Building, 1 Concordia Drive, Bella Vista. Guests are welcome. For more information, call Sean at 417-455-6654.

Kiwanis Club

Weekly meetings are held at 7 a.m. every Thursday at Concordia Retirement Center. Breakfast is available. Visitors, Kiwanis members and former Kiwanis members are all invited to attend.

Ozark Hill Hikers

Ozark Hill Hikers, affiliated with the American Volkssport Association, invites the community to enjoy a 5K or 10K in Bentonville, passing historic homes, Compton Gardens and Crystal Bridges. The hike begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21. Meet between 9:30 to 10 a.m. at Casey's General Store located at 100 S.E. J St. in Bentonville. Kingsdale Squares

Amateur Radio Club

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. (Highway 279 North) in Bella Vista, at 7 p.m. (note the change in time). Meetings are open to the public and anyone interested in becoming a "ham" is invited to attend. The club also offers Amateur Radio license testing through the American Radio Relay League. The testing sessions are held at 2 p.m. the second Saturday of each month at Highland Christian Church.

Fly Tyers Club

The Fly Tyers Club meets at 9 a.m. every Thursday at Riordan Hall for a social hour followed by meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. The club is a fishing, conservation and service organization with approximately 150 members. This group of men and women share a common interest in fishing for both warm- and cold-water species found in the local streams and lakes of Bella Vista. The club also promotes lake conservation, recreational activities and conducts service projects throughout northwest Arkansas.

BV Decorative Artists Chapter

The Bella Vista Decorative Artists Chapter meets a 9 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month for a business meeting and painting session at Wishing Spring Studio (8862 West McNelly Road -- next to Walgreens). The purpose of the chapter is to stimulate interest and appreciation for the art of painting. BVDA does a variety of service projects. This year's projects include working with the Village House in Bella Vista and Memory Boxes for local hospitals. Each month BVDA has a chapter member or a visiting national artist teach an art project in acrylics, oils, watercolor or mixed mediums. Painters of all skill levels make up the BVDA Chapter. Woodcarvers Club

The Bella Vista Woodcarvers Club invites new members. Member carvers hold varying levels of carving skills from beginner to master-skilled and are willing to teach at no cost. The club also offers classes from time to time. There are several women members who work with pyrography (wood burning) as well as carving, and one member works with chain-saw carving. The Woodcarvers Club teaches soap carving classes to young children in the area. The club meets at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista from 1 to 3 p.m. every Thursday. Philosophy, Culture and Society Discussion Group

Every two or three weeks this club meets to discuss a book that examines the question: How would you evaluate the health of American democracy or of Western Civilization itself? The book list to read is rotated in order to approach this issue in three ways: philosophy, theology/religion and political philosophy. Book examples read include "The Closing of the Muslim Mind" by Robert Riley, "The Servile Mind: How Democracy Erodes the Moral Life" by Kenneth Minogue and "Science and Providence" by John Polkinghorne. Books are chosen by members and range from popular to serious. Members read only a chapter or two at a time, meet for a synopsis and discussion which includes light beverages and snacks. The club's mission is to think, learn, laugh and enjoy the fellowship. NWA Apple and Mac Computer Users Club

The Bella Vista NWA Apple and Mac Computer Club meets at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Riordan Hall. Monthly meeting agendas include discussions of new operating systems and updates; presentations on the iCloud; taking better pictures with iPhone and many other pertinent discussions on the use of Apple devices: iPhones, iPads and Mac Computers.

Bella Vista Strings

BV Strings is a casual acoustic jam group that meets at 1 p.m. every Friday at the Artist Retreat Center. Those who enjoy playing different styles of music are invited to visit and consider joining the BV Strings. The group plays rock, folk, bluegrass and country. The music is submitted by members. Women's Chorus

The Women's Chorus invites singers from the tri-county area to join the chorus. All are welcome, with no tryouts or experience needed. Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Chorus meets from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday at Innisfree Senior Living Community, 300 Innisfree Circle, Rogers, which is one block east on 24th and Walnut streets. Perfect Harmony Women's Barbershop Chorus

Perfect Harmony Women's Barbershop Chorus meets every Monday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the choir room of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista.
